First Baptist participates in a wide variety of missions through financial support, prayer, and participation. While some of our efforts support missions that originate within First Baptist, many support individuals that have gone forth from our congregation or local ministries that provide a special service around the world.
Mission Statement
Our goal is to link members of First Baptist Church with mission opportunities in Woodbridge and around the world in an effort to spread Christ’s love through prayer, volunteer efforts, and with financial contributions.

Local Missions
FBCW Hispanic Mission
Starting in 1989 as a mission church of FBC, the Hispanic congregation was the first formally established Hispanic worship service in Woodbridge. The congregation has grown from 12 people to over 80 with ministries including Sunday School and specific ministries for men, women, singles, married, and youth. Their Outreach Ministry has been involved with helping other churches in Albania, Peru, Mexico, El Paso, Texas, and Danville, Virginia. The congregation is led by Pastor Luiggi Reggiardo. Action in the Community Through Service (ACTS) United Way/CFC # 8001
Founded by local churches in 1969, ACTS works for the alleviation of human suffering in Prince William County in direct response to the charge of our Lord to clothe the naked, feed the hungry and welcome the stranger. Current ministries provided by ACTS are day care centers, emergency financial assistance, a food pantry, transitional housing, the Help Line, and Turning Points, a shelter for abused families. Parishioners are invited to join ACTS and are also asked to bring food to the church periodically during the year for donation to the ACTS food pantry. ACTS, which touches the lives of 30,000 people each year, provides concerned Christians with a direct link to those in need and a vehicle for a wide variety of meaningful volunteer service.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The vision of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. Students in area middle and high schools lead their own ‘huddles’ learning leadership skills and how to implement accountability in their day-to-day lives. First Baptist Church supports Care Net, Christian based pregnancy centers in Manassas, Warrenton, and Woodbridge. All of Care Net services are free and confidential providing services including:
Homeless Prevention Center
FBC members support the Homeless Prevention Center by providing meals to the residents of the center two weeks during the year. The Good News Jail Ministry team, headed by Billy Wilhite and Ron Perreault, conducts a monthly worship service at Manassas Adult Detention Center every 4th Sunday from 12:30 – 1:45. Monthly support goes toward Chaplain salary, Bible study materials, Bibles and other resources for the inmates. Contact Billy or Ron if you would like to get involved.
Foreign Missions
New Bethany Baptist Church, Moscow, Russia
New Bethany's pastor, Sergey, and his wife, Nadia, are passionate about shepherding New Bethany's believers, sharing the Gospel with non-believers, and pursuing missions throughout Russia. Our partnership with New Bethany provides opportunities to support our brothers and sisters in Christ through prayer, mission exchanges, and financial support. New Bethany's long-term ability to rent a community center for Sunday worship is uncertain, and restricted access limits opportunities to minister and grow. Pray that God will provide New Bethany with a permanent place to worship. Zambia, Africa First Baptist has partner with Jako and Amber Joubert, missionaries in Zambia, Africa. Later this summer, 16 of our congregation members will travel to Zambia to assist in the construction of an orphanage and in sharing in teaching and worship.
