Then you belong at MOPS!
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nuture mothers with children from infancy through Kindergarten. It is an international organization with groups meeting in churches throughout the United States, Canada, and 19 other countries. The purpose of MOPS is to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our local group meets at First Baptist Church Woodbridge. We invite you to join us this fall as we share and explore the adventures of motherhood! We will come together to celebrate this special season of our lives and to grow both emotionally and spiritually.
MEETINGS
MOPS will be divided into two groups, Team A and Team B. The purpose of the split is to allow for more intimate relationships and also to aid with childcare (see MOPPETS). September through May, Team A will meet the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, and Team B will meet the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. Meetings will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Meetings begin with a time of sharing food and conversation followed by a presentation relevant to mothering preschoolers. Occassionally, we complete an easy, stress-free craft to take home! There is always time for small group discussion, as we feel it is necessary for building relationships and individual growth.
MOPPETS
What do your children do while you are at MOPS? They embark on their own adventures in our MOPPETS program! The children attend classrooms (or the nursery) based on their ages or homeschool grades. While at MOPPETS, they are lead through a morning filled with stories, games, songs, crafts, play, and a snack! The program is designed to keep your children safe and engaged while introducing them to God's love for them. You are free to enjoy your time at MOPS!
We recognize the importance of offering affordable childcare. Your first child is able to attend MOPPETS for FREE! The fee for each additional child enrolled will be $35. Additionally, each mother enrolled in MOPS will sign up to serve in MOPPETS two times in the fall and two times in the spring. You will serve for the alternate group so you never miss your own meeting!

Fall: $57 / Spring: $53
Fees include MOPS International Membership, bi-monthly MomSense Magazine, a copy of The Mommy Diaries: Finding Yourself in the Daily Adventure, crafts, and speaker fees.
