This Men’s Ministry effort is focused on the spiritual needs of our soldiers in Iraq; initially with the 3-8 Cavalry Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, in the vicinity of Balad, Iraq. These young men and women have limited access to Christian reading and support materials. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, drop it off at the Church Office, or put it in the offering plate, marked for “Soldier Support”. As we begin this effort we will be working through the Battalion Chaplain, Capt. Kevin Wainwright. For more information on his ministry and 3-8 CAB you can check out his on-line blog at www.warhorsechaplain.blogspot.com.
As the Church response grows we will reach out to other units. If you would like to assist or have suggestions for how we can better support our young men and women in the Armed Forces please contact Jim Blue at
